We provide care and support for clients in their own homes, single and double handed calls. The service provides care 14 hours a day throughout Thurrock – 7 hour AM and PM shifts.
We are currently looking for a full time Medication Support Worker who can work in our Community Homecare/Reablement team throughout Thurrock. The role is responsible for ensuring that service users who require medication prompted by our teams have the support they need to order their prescriptions, take the appropriate doses and we also support in contacting GP’s and Pharmacies in relation to medication needs. Community Homecare throughout Thurrock daily rota contracts cover a mix of Early (6 am to 2pm) and Late (3pm to 11pm) and working Every other weekend (1 covering early shifts the other covering late shifts)
Full Driving Licence and access to your own vehicle required for working in the above – mileage paid at 45p per mile.
The Council supports the Covid-19 vaccination programme and encourages staff delivering front-line care services to take up the offer of double vaccination.
The successful candidate will need to have a professional attitude at all times and have knowledge around the understanding of Dementia, Challenging behaviours and Manual Handling – training also provided.
A Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check for Adults is required at enhanced plus barred list level
