Thurrock Local Safeguarding Childrens Partnership is a statutory organisation which has a strong membership of key partner agencies, who support each other working to safeguard and promote the welfare of children in Thurrock. The LSCP has two main functions; to oversee the work that agencies working with children are doing to ensure that children and young people are kept safe and to ensure that all those agencies that employ people to work with children have effective safeguarding policies in place to keep children safe.
An opportunity has arisen within Children’s Services for a full time Project Officer supporting the Local Safeguarding Children’s Partnership (LSCP). The role of the Project Officer is provide business support to the LSCP to include coordinating projects, preparing project reports, contributing to the functioning of the partnership’s subgroups, maintaining the delivery plan, supporting reviews of serious safeguarding incidents, tracking action plans and the business plan, updating the website, collecting, maintaining and analysing performance data, processing finance invoices, organising stakeholder workshops, learning events and supporting the delivery of the learning and development programme.
The Project Officer will work closely with and support the LSCP Business Manager who oversees all project work and finance for the Partnership and enable the Partnership to achieve its aims and priorities.
