Job Descrption

Coordination of the Group MRMR Technical Reporting annual cycle and ensuring that the process produces consistent and reliable Mineral Resource and Mineral Reserve (MRMR) estimates and reports from all of its mining units, aligned with requirements of the Society for Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration (SME) Guide for Reporting and guidelines to ensure compliance to the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) Securities and Exchange Commision (SEC) S-K 1300 Regulations and Reporting Code. 

Developing and ensuring deployment of the MRMR reporting policy, guidelines and reporting templates, and ensure that the global K2fly Resource Disclosure and Model Manager solutions are optimally implemented and used across the mining operations of ArcelorMittal.

Providing support and technical expertise in developing and implementing best Resource Modelling and Estimation practices and the reconciliation of resources and reserves across the mining operations of ArcelorMittal.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Encourages, fosters and leads by example on Health and Safety as Group number 1 priority
  • Ensure a proper governance system so data is maintained and updated with integrity across all sites to maintain the required levels of assurance for the MRMR process
  • Ensures all MRMR data, Technical Report Summary compilation, and 20-F submissions are compliant to the S-K 1300 regulations and follow AM standards
  • Contributes to the deployment of standards, and provide support in resources and reserve estimate and MRMR data compilation to all mining assets
  • Coordinates the Group MRMR Technical Reporting Cycle, ensuring that the reports form all the mines are delivered timely and in accordance with requirements of appropriate international reporting standards 
  • Makes continuous efforts to identify potential areas for improvements in MRMR management, as well as MRMR technical reporting
  • Provides support and guidance to the mines during the process of MRMR technical report writing
  • Acts as an administrator of the ArcelorMittal MRMR SharePoint and K2Fly Resource Disclosure and Model Manager platforms
  • Manage the K2fly Resource Disclosure and Model Manager MRMR data being captured. Guides and assist the units to capture the data, and reconcile each sites tables, dashboards, and exports 
  • Plan and coordinate MRMR external audits and internal peer reviews within the ArcelorMittal mining assets, in accordance with needs, best practices and international standards requirements
  • Promote high performance culture and build open, genuine and sustainable relationship with all stakeholders, in accordance with the Vision and the best interest of the Company 
  • Seek improvements in productivity, efficiencies and where possible costs savings while maintaining high quality data and support services.

PROFILE 

  • Bachelor of Science degree in field of Mining Engineering or Geology. If Mining Engineer, needs to demonstrate sound knowledge of MRMR regulatory reporting and good experience in estimation and optimization of Resources and Reserves.
  • Mining experience in all operational phases in mining business development
  • Technical involvement and expertise in MRMR estimation and reporting. 
  • Working in a multicultural and dynamic work environment
  • Proficient use or solid understanding of the most current mining and geology specialized computerized solutions and IT innovations
  • Data management in secure data repositories and firm understanding of data management protocols 
  • Deep knowledge on statutory reporting systems
  • Change management models and protocols.
