Inpatient Pharmacist at HealthPartners

Job Descrption

Regions Hospital is looking for an Inpatient Pharmacist to provide pharmaceutical care and clinical expertise to patients. This position will be responsible for provision of pharmacy services including decentralized clinical services, inpatient dispensing, and IV preparation. Shifts will rotate between many centralized and decentralized inpatient pharmacy services with day/evening shifts and participate in departmental weekend coverage. Occasional overnight coverage may be necessary. Pharmacists at Regions Hospital provide professional pharmaceutical services by rounding with patient care teams, monitoring patient medication therapies, providing drug information and education to healthcare providers and patients/families, precepting pharmacy students and residents, reviewing medication orders, dispensing medications and related supplies, conducting medication histories, overseeing the work of direct support personnel, and participating in quality and safety improvement projects.

The hospital provides health care services for St. Paul and its surrounding communities, as well as for patients who come from greater Minnesota, Western Wisconsin and other Midwestern states. Work Schedule:

  • Monday-Friday, day/evening rotation with every other weekend.

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy with a PharmD or BS in Pharmacy.
  • Current license to practice pharmacy in the State of Minnesota.
  • Currently functioning in an inpatient capacity in a comparable role.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One year of experience in a central inpatient role including sterile product preparation.
  • Post-graduate training and/or specialty BPS Board Certification.
  • Licensed preceptor with the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy.

Additional Information:

This is a union 0.7 FTE (56 hours per pay period) day/evening shift with every other weekend position working in Saint Paul, MN. The full salary range for this position is $67.88-$77.30 per hour, based on experience. This position is non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act, and is eligible for benefits, which begin on day one of employment. Our benefits include medical and dental insurance (which begin on day one of employment), 401k with match, disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, educational reimbursement toward continuing education, and we are a qualified non-profit employer under the federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness program.
