This position will support the urgent care clinicians and lead with the values, mission, and vision of Stillwater Medical Group .
Model through personal example the core values of care, stewardship, joy, service, and learning and lead other Stillwater Medical Group clinicians, and employees, to do the same. With a thorough knowledge of external and internal determinants of patient care delivery, the Site Medical Leader will work with site Nursing Supervisor/Care Deliver Supervisor (CDS), Urgent Care Clinic Manager, Urgent Care Regional Medical Director and Urgent Care Regional Director to promote Triple Aim goals of improved quality of health, optimal experience and affordable care for the patients we serve.
The Urgent Care Site Medical Leader is accountable for the efficiency, effectiveness, quality and safety of patient care at the Valley urgent care sites. Partnering with the nursing supervisor/CDS and Clinic Manager, the UC Site Medical Leader promotes professional relationships amongst all clinicians and staff, while supporting processes and programs to enhance the patient’s experience. This requires an ability to articulate our core values to all who participate in patient care; to build strong professional relationships and alignment with our patients and caregivers; to describe the Stillwater Medical Group mission as it relates to primary care and to be a visible spokesperson for our organization, while building a site that supports the care, health, healing, and learning of those we serve. The UC Site Medical Leader will provider accountable leadership for all of the Stillwater Medical Group Medical Group goals and priorities, including the People, Experience, Health and Stewardship (Four Dimensions) goals.
Required Qualifications:Clinician in good standing at the site. Previous leadership experience is helpful. Commitment to ongoing leadership development.
Special Knowledge/Skills/Certifications/Licenses:
This position requires familiarity and compliance with matters of law, regulations and internal policies affecting the employment relationship (including but not limited to FMLA, ADA, and discrimination and harassment laws). Also essential is an understanding of group practice dynamics, the interface between physicians and organizational structures needed to carry on the processes of care, and the economics of care and their impact on ambulatory and hospital practice. Finally, strong communication skills are required, including the ability to promote teamwork amongst all employees at the site.
Term
Appointed by the Regional Medical Director for three years with reappointment as for subsequent terms as indicated.
