Methodist Hospital is looking to hire a respiratory therapist to join our team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.
The staff respiratory therapist is responsible for the pulmonary care of those patients assigned to them. This care will include initiation and implementation of a pulmonary care plan, with the supervision of or in consultation with a physician. Aspects of care provided include assessments, diagnostics, treatment, education, and discharge planning. The advanced credential, RRT is required to fulfill the special roles of bronchoscopy support, pulmonary diagnostics, and pulmonary rehab.
Work Schedule:
night shift 12 hrs every third weekend with some evenings as needed
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
- RRT credential.
- MN Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) registration required.
- Must have BLS and ACLS certification (within 6 months of hire)
- Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience preferred, but not necessary.
