Contact Lens Technician, Eye Care at HealthPartners

Job Descrption

Park Nicollet is looking to hire a Contact Lens Technician to join our Eye Care team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day. 

Position Summary:

Evaluates contact lens patients. Designs and fits all types of contact lenses, supplies contact lens care and handling instructions, and provides thorough and adequate follow-up care. Maintains proper documentation of performed procedures. 

Work Schedule:

M-F St. Louis Park 8-4:30

Required Qualifications:

Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:

Experience and training necessary to successfully obtain certification by National Contact Lens Examiners.  

Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:

National Contact Lens Examiners Certification.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.

Strong clinical, human relations, and motivational skills. 

Proven leadership and effective training skills also required. 

Proven proficiency in the operation of the following: Slit Lamp, Lensometer, Corneal Measurement, and Contact Lens Cleaning Equipment; Visual Acuity Equipment; Telephone, POS system. 

Must also be able to utilize a PC to send and receive e-mail and attachments. 

Familiar with Microsoft & its applications.
