The Post
Procurement Project Manager.
Playing a critical role and crucial to the success in contributing to an effective procurement service for the organisation by managing procurement projects of low to medium value complexity and supporting larger, more complex and / or high value multi-million pound projects. You will be active in the end to end procurement processes – supporting both Category and Assistant Category Managers as well as being given responsibility to run procurement processes on your own. You will work on a range of projects for the council with a focus on Social Care categories and delivering bespoke pieces of work in support of the Procurement Strategy.
The Person
You should have at least 2 years of procurement experience, be a self-starter, proactive with an eagerness to learn . The ideal candidate should have a good knowledge of procurement and public e-tendering processes. An understanding of how a local authority works, be confident with great communication and stakeholder management skills. Alongside this, having the ability and experience to multi-task, managing several procurement projects and various other procurement related activities on the go.
