A fantastic opportunity has arisen for social workers (SWs) to join Brent in Adult Social Care. As a social worker you will respond to those in need of social care support and utilise appropriate interventions. SWs at Brent use a strength-based approach to promote the independence, interests, and rights of our residents and their families. Across our Adult Social Care service, we strive to deliver a culture of working together, positive risk-taking, and accountability. Our core aim is to support our residents to be influential, active members of our community.
This is a very exciting time to join Brent ASC as SW. Several new positions have been created as a result of our ambitious transformation programme and more are available due to SWs progressing into more senior and managerial positions. Opportunities have arisen across different teams within Adult Social Care including our Hospital Discharge team.

This role attracts the following payments (subject to review);
A good understanding of the relevant Adult Social Care legislation is essential to these posts. You will need to be able to work autonomously within agreed timeframes and manage frequently changing circumstances. You will have the opportunity to put into practice the legislation underpinning your practice, and further enhance your skills with the aim of supporting and empowering our service users to live meaningful lives within the community.
We are looking for qualified social workers who are registered with the Social Work England You will have excellent communication skills and experience of working within a social care or community-focused multi-disciplinary setting. You will need to be passionate about working with vulnerable adults and providing an excellent service. Skills in prioritisation, caseload management, time management and multi-disciplinary working would be required in these roles. At an advanced practitioner level you will be responsible for managing the most complex cases and supervising a small number of staff.
For an exceptional candidate who cannot demonstrate all of the above, training would be provided.
