Interested in working at the heart of democracy in Brent
Brent is a tremendously vibrant London borough where the iconic arch of Wembley Stadium dominates the skyline. Spanning both inner and outer London, it is a borough of huge contrasts in terms of its economic, environmental, ethnic and social make up. Brent’s diversity is evident to all who visit our borough and our long history of ethnic and cultural diversity has created a place that is truly unique and valued by those who live and work here.
The council is pursuing a far-reaching transformation agenda that better meets the needs of our community so it is an exciting time to join us.
The Post
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join Brent’s Governance Team. This is a great opportunity to work with councillors, senior officers, partners and our residents at the heart of the Council’s decision making process.

The job involves advising and working closely with elected councillors and senior officers on the Council’s governance and decision making arrangements.
The Person
We are looking for someone with experience in a democratic services environment able to demonstrate a positive attitude and passion for excellent service who is well organised, calm under pressure and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

As part of a small but talented and friendly team, you will also need the ability to work flexibly, adapt to changing priorities and meet tight deadlines with an attention to detail and innovative approach to service delivery.
