The Post
This successful candidate will lead the Development Management Planning team (of approximately 40). Brent is serious about providing an excellent planning service which supports the delivery of outstanding developments. The successful applicant will make a significant contribution to the regeneration of the borough through the management of the Development Management service to ensure that growth and regeneration in the borough is delivered in line with the objectives of the Brent Borough Plan, and the Brent Local Plan. They will work closely with Members and with colleagues within the Council on a range of projects and initiatives and be responsible for implementing improvements across the Development Management Service. They also have responsibility for the Council’s Land Charges service and Property Database. The Person
The successful candidate will need to be a high performing leader who is passionate about planning and be able to develop good and effective relationships with people. They must have a drive for continuous improvement and a desire to deliver an excellent Development Management Service. You will need to be an experienced planner who is eligible for RTPI membership and a collaborative leader.
