We are a shared ICT service, supporting the local councils in Brent, Lewisham and Southwark, as well as the Local Government Association, and the Department for Housing and Pensions. We are located at the Brent Council’s Civic Centre, Wembley, with onsite client teams at Laurence House in Catford and Tooley Street, near London Bridge, Southwark

About the Shared Technology Service
Shared Technology Services are looking for a Commercial Contracts & Procurement Manager which is a pivotal role within the shared service working across all councils. Reporting to the Head of Projects & Partnerships, the successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring the successful procurement of fit for purpose solutions, supporting effective contract management of existing and new services, and managing a team of procurement officers.
In this role the successful applicant must understand and be able to deliver end to end lifecycle processes in accordance with public procurement legislation and council policies to achieve value for money in a timely and efficient manner.
The successful applicant must be able to evidence a sound knowledge of procurement practices and legislation within the public sector and ideally benefit from knowledge and/or experience within the IT sector. Also be highly organised and used to dealing with a complex workload.
