Health Improvement Delivery Specialist
Be part of a dynamic, innovative team working towards improving the health and wellbeing of Brent residents.
The postholder will work on a range of programme areas that are key to delivering the public health programme priorities to promote health and wellbeing and to reduce health inequalities.
The post holder will work on delivering projects around healthy eating and accessibility to healthy, sustainable, and affordable food. A key area of focus will be the Healthier Catering Commitment , which involves working with food businesses to make small changes to make their offer healthier.
The Person
Increasing participation in physical activity for non-active residents within the borough to support in improving health and wellbeing. This will involve working with a range of partners and residents in order to meet their needs.
Are you passionate about supporting local communities?
Do you have experience of working in public health or similar and working with the community?
Do you have knowledge and experience in health improvement, particularly physical activity and food systems?
Do you have experience in planning, coordinating and delivering community sessions?
You need to have good communication skills. Can you work well on your own initiative and as part of a team?
You also need to be proficient in use of Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
