The role
We are excited to have an opening for a Placement Officer (Adult Social Care) to join our Resource Coordination Team, on a temporary basis, as the team will be taking on the purchasing arrangements for Direct Payments.
As a Placement Officer you will provide a critical support role to our social care teams, helping ensure residents receive the right care and support from Camden.
The ASC Placement Officer is responsible for identifying, arranging and purchasing all services to meet the needs and outcomes assessed by their social care practitioner. Support is provided to teams across social care, including mental health, learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and older people.

About you
To be successful you will need to have excellent communication skills and an ability to work under pressure, managing a varied workload. You will have experience of working in a health or social care setting and be empathetic to the needs of vulnerable residents. You will be able to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing, including presenting and negotiation.
You will need to have experience of and understanding of using Mosiac and be proficient in IT. You will also be able to work in partnership with social care staff and teams, commissioners, care providers and other agencies to ensure that the needs of the resident are met.
