If you have an eye for attention to detail and enjoy general cleaning, you could be perfect for this career. Why not join one of our many teams of Cleaners in schools and Council buildings within the Kirkcaldy area. We currently have several permanent vacancies Monday to Friday on a 40 week contract.

High schools:

• Windmill Community Campus - 1 post, 12.5 hours per week 40 week contract (3:30pm to 6:00pm)

Primary schools:

• Valley Primary School – 1 post, 16.25 hours per week 40 week contract (3:00pm to 6:15pm)
• Valley Primary School – 1 post, 10.00 hours per week 40 week contract (4:00pm to 6:00pm)

You will earn a competitive salary of £22,525.71 pro-rata and have access to a range of benefits, including:

• We pay the Scottish Local Government Living Wage of £12.00 per hour for this post, plus extra payments for shift work, including weekends.
• Pay is annualised for 40-week contracts (equal instalments every 4 week pay period).

This work is about ensuring pupils and staff can return to a clean and safe environment every school day. You will go home each day knowing you have made a difference. No previous experience is required as on the job training is given, working towards The Cleaning Operatives Proficiency Certificate

The Person

Before confirming to your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
