We are seeking a HR Administrator to join the Schools Human Resources Team to support the traded HR service to our schools, Children’s Centre’s and some services within Education and Learning Division. You will be required to provide professional administration support to Head teachers, Schools Leaders, Governors and School Business Managers on a range of HR issues and statutory duties which the Local Authority carry out in relation to its schools and in the broader context of School Improvement.
The successful candidate will be a strong team player with good attention to detail, experience of supporting different stakeholders and developing effective working relationships with Headteachers/Governors/Managers and Trade Unions.
Your main remit will be to provide HR support and administration to Schools that buy into the Schools HR Service Level Agreement and to the Schools HR team.
You will be involved in supporting the Schools HR team across the administration function and developing systems. You will also be required to support schools in providing advice on the varied HR policies especially Maternity, Paternity, Adoption and Shared Parental Leave. Your role will also include supporting the Head of School’s HR in managing the team’s budget.
You will be expected to have the following:
Experience in providing administrative support in a HR department within a customer focused organisation
Knowledge of developing systems including the use of Microsoft Office 365
Knowledge or experience of basic HR procedures
