About Lambeth Council Technology

We need ambitious technical and ambitious people to join us as Applications Analysts in our Technology Service at Lambeth Council. 

Lambeth Technology is a reimagining of the traditional IT Service, with a focus on the people, culture and processes required to drive technology innovatively. About the Role:

We need an experienced Applications Analyst to join our team in Brixton. 

The Applications Analyst is responsible for carrying out application development, maintenance and system configuration activities for all line-of-business applications supporting one or more key business areas of the Council ensuring the management of risk and secure operation, including any associated application upgrades and interfaces to applications within other business areas, and to assist with management reporting requirements. Where applications and systems are delivered as a service, to work as directed with the Service Providers to ensure applications maintain currency and security and effectively meet the business requirements of the Council.

Day to day

The Applications Analyst sits in our Technology Business Unit that operates to Design, Deliver, Run and Maintain the technology solutions and services required for the Council to process business and deliver services to the residents of Lambeth. Work collaboratively within a team of Application Analysts to meet operationally required technical, security and service requirements, and maintain application performance objectives.

To be considered for interview, your CV and supporting statement will clearly evidence:

  • Hold a Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD) or an Oracle Certified Associate (OCA) or the equivalent demonstrable capability with relevant vendor business applications.
  • Excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills. 
  • Strong customer management skills
  • Applications support experience
  • Qualified in a programming language such as Ruby, Python or C++ or equivalent relevant language
  • You will get extra points for
  • Demonstrating you have researched and understand the priorities of Lambeth Council.
