About The Role:

• Delivery of excellent programmes with knowledge of practices, progression and teaching points and how these should be applied
• To work closely with the staffing team, ensuring programs promoted are relevant to clients needs and delivered effectively.
• To manage in conjunction with the Ice Rink and centre Managers, the skating programmes and staff.
• Liaise with management team to ensure programmes meet with customer expectations and NISA guidelines.
• Create lesson plans and monitoring systems.

Key Accountabilities:

• To take responsibility of groups or individuals to be coached giving correct knowledge and information pertaining to the relevant activity.
• Plan, co-ordinate and deliver the activity to groups or individuals in a manner which they will benefit.
• Liaise with other staff team members and clients to explore potential new areas of work.
• To ensure equipment is safe and secure and ready for use.
• Ensure all activity and coaching areas are clean, tidy and fit for use.
• To ensure that all necessary qualifications for the post are maintained, renewed and passed on to the Ice Rink Manager.
• To be responsible for the Health and Safety of participants, reporting any incidents or problems to the Ice Rink Manager.
• To be familiar with and conform to responsibilities under the Data Protection Act as identified by Active Lambeth.
• To ensure that the NISA coaches code of conduct is followed.
• To take on any administrative duties in relation to the work as an Ice-skating coach, including the completion of certificates, advising an awarding body of successful candidates and accident report forms as required.
• To assist with the promotion, marketing and development of the activity as required.
• To assist members of the public in their use of the facilities, and to encourage maximum use of the facilities.
• To practice good Customer Care at all times when dealing with the public.
• To undertake any additional duties in the development of the activity as defined by the Ice Rink Manager.
• To carry out any other duties commensurate with that of a Professional Ice-Skating Coach.
• To identify and communicate to the Ice Rink Manager any future training and development needs.
