About The Role:
This is a pivotal role within the Climate, Planning and Transport division; the successful candidate will need to lead the the strategic development, management, co-ordination and delivery of a complex and high profile portfolio of specialist activities, projects and services, which advance the Council’s response to the climate emergency.
They should have strong motivational skills that will help drive an evolving service aligning it with the council’s vision and response to the climate agenda.
Lambeth stretches from Waterloo and Vauxhall in the North to Streatham and Norwood in the South. The borough has a distinctive mix of vibrant central London night-time and cultural locations along with more suburban inner areas such as Streatham and Norwood.
The successful candidate will have the confidence to inspire staff and partners, to help deliver key strategic partnerships as well as provide effective recommendations and decision making, both with internal stakeholders and partners as well as external businesses and partnerships.
