The Role
The port services team hold responsibility for all port queries internally and externally.
Acting as 'the face' of Carnival UK to its suppliers, port agents and service users the Port Services Co-ordinator assumes day-to-day responsibility for their assigned ports invoice management.
You will:
- Investigate and respond to queries for assigned ports from port agents, service providers and within the business via the mailbox and by telephone.
- Take ownership of Preliminary and Final Invoices received in the Port Services mailbox. Validating invoice line items, ensuring basis of cost breakdown is both understood and documented.
- Liaise with Port Cost Budget holders on tariff-based items to ensure latest tariff formulae are correctly recorded within the Port Cost Budget.
- Comparing Forecast against Actual Costs, investigating the reason for variances, liaising with Port Services Budget holders to highlight where significant differences occur, agreeing actions to resolve.
Our role categories range from CUK15 (entry level) to CUK1 (Brand President) so you can clearly see internal development opportunities. This role is a CUK15 and is offered on a full time, permanent basis, with hybrid working of at least three days based in our Southampton office.

- Previous experience using data input via an accounts package / database.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical skills, able to input accurately as well as understanding variances
