Job Title : GMS Support Trainer
Department : Clubs & Communities   
Reports to : Platform 4 Rugby Engagement Manager
Session Rate : £50 for virtual sessions, and £100 for in-person sessions.
Location : Regional based on your location – (North, Midlands, South West, London & South East). There will be a requirement to travel within your region as required. 
Engagement Type : Casual Workforce

There is a requirement to attend a paid one-day face to face onboarding session on Sunday 2nd June at Twickenham Stadium. 

Nature and Scope:

The RFU is committed to supporting clubs and CBs to utilise the Game Management System (GMS) to assist them in completing key administration tasks.

To assist with training and support with Clubs and Constituent Bodies we are seeking to recruit a small group of GMS Support Trainers.

As a member of the RFU GMS Support Trainer team you will need to demonstrate the expertise to deliver both online and face to face training to support club management personnel around various key aspects of the GMS system.

What will you be doing?

Some key responsibilities include:

  • Deliver specific high quality GMS Training to clubs at key points across the rugby season based on targeted club need. Specific training material will be provided.
    Delivery of training content to support both online and face to face delivery with a focus around identified key topic areas.
  • Book training sessions with clubs direct as directed by the Engagement Lead.  
  • Record attendance and submit relevant information using an RFU specified tool. 
  • Deliver the agreed number of sessions online and face to face across the year. 
  • Actively collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the development and delivery of the current strategic, business, and operational plans
  • Act as an ambassador for and promote the best interests of the RFU at all times, including the promotion of the RFU core values and culture.
  • Undertake such other duties as may be required from time to time as are consistent with the responsibilities of the post and the needs of the organisation

What you Know:

Essential:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, displaying enthusiasm in delivery both virtually and face to face. 
  • Demonstrate questioning and listening skills effectively in an active environment.
  • Previous experience of presenting information to groups with supporting evidence.
  • Competent in the use of web applications with previous experience using the Game Management System.
  • Flexible and adaptable to change.
  • Available for some evenings and weekends.
  • Have access to own transport and laptop.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of club rugby.
  • Knowledge of the Game Management System or other administrator systems.
  • Online delivery experience.
