Junior auditor will conduct various financial data tests and will usually work with the employees of the company to plan audits, review internal controls, prepare financial reports, and conduct audit tests. He / She will prepare status reports and internal communications and may also control management, practices, information, and policies. This position may additionally analyze contracts, investigate claims, and verify financial documents under a senior accountant's close supervision.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Confirming that the company's record of its cash balances agrees with the bank.
Sending out requests to customers in order to a certain that trade receivables exist.
Checking that the company owns the fixed assets that it claims it has in its accounts (e.g. buildings, machinery, computers and cars) and that these are recorded at the correct value.
Ensuring that the list of company suppliers is complete.
Helping with the review of the statutory accounts.
Attending a... stock-take to observe the company's methods for recording stock and test-counting a sample.
Manage and organize audits for ancillary / facility provider contracts.
Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
Obtain proper documentation need from truck drivers entering the facility.
Examine payroll and personnel records to determine worker's compensation coverage.
Reduce transaction time and improve Sarbanes-Oxley compliance by developing and implementing new, improve processes for identifying and eliminating obsolete inventory.
Perform diversified accounting assignments for clients' approval and signature using QuickBooks.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
BSc/BA in law, finance, business administration or a related field
