Senior Accountant

Overview
Perform general accounting and financial reporting functions including recording... journal entries, performing account reconciliations, preparing monthly and quarterly financial reports, and assisting with audit preparations. Candidate must have a strong work ethic, high standards of accuracy and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
• Responsible for general accounting functions which includes preparation of journal entries, intercompany accounting, fixed asset accounting, accrual of expenses, account reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Prepare Balance sheet and Income statement trend analysis and create commentary for variances.
• Support FP&A team to create budget vs. actual analysis
• Prepare financial statements and supporting documents in compliance with IFRS/US GAAP, and other statutory or contractual reporting requirements.
• Ensures compliance with timelines for financial close and weekly and monthly management reporting and analysis.
• Prepare and submit various statistical or other non-tax related compliance reports.
• Work closely with external auditors to ensure successful audit completion.
• Assist with implementation and ongoing execution of new accounting standards.
• Perform a variety of special projects and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
• Qualifications ACCA, ACA or equivalent is required.
• 5+ years of experience in a multi-segment or multi-national organization.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting.
• High degree of proficiency with Excel.
• High standards of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly-driven and self-motivated.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departmental functions.
Preferred Skills
• Experience of US GAAP/IFRS Accounting for an international software company
• Experience of accounting for European countries
• NetSuite/SAP or other ERP experience is preferred
• Experience with process improvement and automation preferred.
