Job Descrption

We are looking for a Purchase Officer for the hospital pharmacy in Dubai.

The officer shall be responsible for managing the procurement process of pharmaceuticals and related products. This role ensures the timely and cost-effective acquisition of medications, medical supplies, and equipment, maintaining adequate stock levels, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Location: Dubai, UAE

Salary: AED 10,000/-

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement procurement strategies for pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, and equipment.
• Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their offerings.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders, negotiate prices, and terms with suppliers.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent shortages and overstock situations.
• Establish and maintain relationships with pharmaceutical vendors, suppliers, and distributors.
• Evaluate supplier performance and resolve any issues related to delivery, quality, or... pricing.
• Ensure all purchases comply with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with legal, regulatory, and hospital policies.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all procurement activities, including purchase orders, receipts, and supplier correspondence.
• Prepare reports on procurement activities, inventory levels, and financial performance.
• Assist in the preparation of the departmental budget for pharmaceuticals and supplies.
• Monitor and report on expenditures to ensure adherence to the budget.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend strategies to improve procurement efficiency.
• Collaborate with pharmacy staff and other departments to assess their needs and prioritize procurement activities.
• Provide timely updates on the status of orders, delivery schedules, and any issues affecting procurement.
• Coordinate with the finance department for invoice processing and payment.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Pharmacy, or a related field.
• Certification in procurement or supply chain management is a plus.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting in UAE.
• Familiarity with pharmaceutical and medical supply procurement is highly desirable.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to AED10,000.00 per month
