Job Summary:
We are looking for a competent Purchaser to select and purchase lines of products on behalf of our company. The role is very important since our business activities cannot begin without the necessary stock. The quality and variety of products on our shelves are essential for our success. Therefore, the ideal candidate must be a responsible individual with great attention to detail. The goal is to ensure that the business will always have adequate stock that meets its requirements. That way we can deliver value to our customers through high-quality products and facilitate sustainable growth.
Responsibilities:
· Sourcing suppliers based on... price, availability, necessity, quality and logistical expenses
· Assessing vendors and their offerings with in-person visits, interviews and analysis to assess their quality
· Collaborating with various internal departments to ensure that they fulfil all customer requests
· Negotiating sale agreements and supply contracts in ways that benefit their company
· Coordinating with shipping agencies and sellers to ensure timely deliveries and oversee the integrity and quality of delivered goods and services
· Identify customer preferences and forecast consumer trends
· Monitor stock levels and make plans for buying within budget
· Create reports on sales, budgets and customer satisfaction and adjust your strategies accordingly
· Forge and maintain trust relationships with suppliers to promote fair dealing
Qualifications:
· Proven experience as a retail purchaser or relevant role
· Excellent organizational skills
· Familiarity with market research, data analysis and forecasting techniques
· Logistical qualifications
· Negotiation and business relations skills
· Accounting acumen
· Precise verbal and written communication abilities
· Strong industry experience for accurate product/service quality assessments
