Role: Electrical Design Engineer - Thames Water

Are you an experienced Electrical Design Engineer looking for a challenging role within a dynamic joint venture in the water industry? Our client, a collaboration between two major contractors, is seeking a talented Electrical Design Engineer to lead the design efforts on critical water infrastructure projects in the Thames Water region.

Responsibilities:
• Lead the electrical design of water infrastructure systems, including power distribution, control systems, instrumentation, and telemetry.
• Develop detailed electrical designs, drawings, and technical specifications in accordance with industry standards, client requirements, and regulatory frameworks.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, mechanical engineers, and contractors to ensure the seamless integration of electrical systems into project plans.
• Review and approve electrical... designs, ensuring they meet project specifications and safety regulations.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to resolve electrical design challenges throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support on-site teams during the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems.
• Prepare technical documentation, including design calculations, reports, and design reviews.
• Ensure projects adhere to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

Requirements:
• Proven experience as an Electrical Design Engineer, ideally within the water sector or a related infrastructure industry.
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit), and relevant industry standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex design issues.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, enabling effective interaction with multi-disciplinary teams and clients.
• Relevant engineering qualifications (e.g., BEng/MEng in Electrical Engineering) and professional certifications.
• Familiarity with the Thames Water Framework or similar utility frameworks is highly desirable.
