The Carpentry Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of a team of carpenters engaged in woodworking and furniture manufacturing projects. The role involves managing the workflow, ensuring quality control, and maintaining safety standards while meeting project deadlines and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
• Supervision & Coordination:
• Lead and supervise the carpentry team in day-to-day operations, including planning, organizing, and assigning tasks.
• Ensure that carpenters have the materials and tools they need to complete their tasks efficiently.
• Monitor work progress and adjust schedules as needed to meet project deadlines.
• Quality Control:
• Inspect completed work for accuracy, quality, and adherence to project specifications.
• Address any defects or issues immediately to ensure high standards of craftsmanship.
• Ensure that all carpentry work meets company and industry standards.
• Project Management:
• Collaborate with project... managers, designers, and production teams to interpret plans, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Coordinate carpentry work with other trades and departments involved in production.
• Track and report progress, challenges, and resource requirements to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Team Leadership & Development:
• Train and mentor carpenters, providing guidance and technical support to ensure proper woodworking techniques are used.
• Conduct performance evaluations and offer constructive feedback.
• Promote teamwork, productivity, and a safe working environment.
• Health & Safety Compliance:
• Enforce safety regulations and practices on-site, ensuring all team members wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow proper safety procedures.
• Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to mitigate hazards.
• Ensure that the carpentry shop and worksite are kept clean, organized, and free from unsafe conditions.
• Inventory & Resource Management:
• Manage carpentry materials and tools inventory, ensuring adequate supplies and equipment are available for current and upcoming projects.
• Track material usage and prevent wastage or misuse.
• Coordinate with the procurement department for material requisition.
• Problem-Solving:
• Resolve any technical issues that arise during production, offering practical solutions to maintain workflow efficiency.
• Liaise with clients, designers, and project managers to address concerns or modifications in the carpentry scope.

Qualifications:
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent. A technical certification in carpentry or woodworking is preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in carpentry, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Skills:
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
• Knowledge of carpentry tools, equipment, and techniques.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in carpentry.
