As Procurement Engineer, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the procurement activities related to design and fit-out projects. Your responsibilities will encompass sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials, services, and equipment necessary for the successful execution of projects:

Responsibilities:

Strategic Sourcing:
• Develop and implement strategic procurement plans aligned with project requirements andorganizational goals.
• Identify potential suppliers, conduct market research, and evaluate their capabilities to ensure the selection of reliable partners.

Vendor Management:
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Negotiate terms and conditions with vendors to secure favourable agreements in terms of cost, quality, and delivery.

Cost Estimation:
• Collaborate with project teams to understand design and fit-out requirements and provide accurate cost estimations for procurement activities.
• Analyze and evaluate... cost proposals, making recommendations to optimize project budgets.

Procurement Process:
• Develop with the Manager and implement procurement policies and procedures to streamline processes and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
• Lead the procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services.

Quality Assurance:
• Collaborate with quality assurance teams to establish and maintain high-quality standards for procured materials and services.
• Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards.

Risk Management:
• Identify potential risks in the procurement process and implement strategies to mitigate them.
• Stay informed about market trends, price fluctuations, and potential supply chain disruptions.

Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records, including contracts, purchase orders, and vendor performance evaluations.
• Generate regular reports on procurement activities, costs, and savings for management review.

Team Collaboration:
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, designers, and finance, to ensure seamless coordination of procurement activities with project timelines.

MISCELANEOUS:
• Attends internal projects weekly progress meetings and trainings when required.
• Contributes client satisfaction by attending requests and enquiries courteously and efficiently.
• Accepts flexible work schedules when necessary to provide uninterrupted service clients and stakeholders.
• Maintains working environment, materials and company property in an organized, clean and orderly manner.
• Continuously seeks to improve efficient operations and knowledge.
• Is well updated, and possesses solid knowledge on all relevant policies and procedures related to the operations and management quality policy.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil / Architectural Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in the Fit Outfield for 10+ years.
• Proven experience in procurement within the design and fit-out industry.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers.
• Knowledge of local and international procurement regulations and best practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in using procurement and project management software.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Has wide experience in market prices for similar projects fit out and interiors
• Reporting to higher management on all commercial issues
• Must have previous experience of FIDIC Contracts
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
• Ability to proactively identify next steps and work productively with limited supervision;
• Excellent organizational skills, ability to organize and maintain a fluid administrative process;
• Strong technical, commercial and quantitative analytical skills;
• Strong business acumen and demonstrated project management skills;
• Ability to adapt quickly to all technical and commercial subjects related to fit out and construction projects through full development lifecycle and transitions to construction

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From AED10,000.00 per month
