The Opportunity: Accounts Payable and Processing

Contract: Permanent

Location: Tottenham

We are based in North London and have been providing material handling solutions ever since we established ourselves in 1994. Now with more than 25 years’ experience, we are the leading forklift supplier for London and the Southeast. Hiremech is part of The Briggs Equipment Group who are a leading provider of asset management and maintenance solutions across the UK and Ireland. The Impact you will have:
• Purchase invoice processing / filing
• Resolving purchase invoices queries both internally and externally/ requesting missing purchase invoices
• Processing daily payments in Sage as per bank statements
• Oversee timely payments to suppliers in accordance with payment terms and cash
• availability
• Liaising with suppliers for any payments queries resolution
• Keeping... purchase ledger in Sage up to date with relevant supplier details/ bank details
• Producing reports on creditors
• Setting up supplier payments in Sage and send remittances to suppliers
• Completing supplier statements reconciliations
• Completing credit card transactions processing in Sage
• Supporting the production of the monthly and annual accounts
• Any other ad hoc duties as required
• Supporting the Credit Control team as and when required
• Liaise with customers for POs

What will help you to excel in this role:
• Significant experience of working within a finance team in industry/commerce
• Knowledge of Sage package and Excel skills
• Excellent interpersonal/communication skills with Directors, senior management, and internal departments
• Excellent customer relationship/management skills
• Excellent analytical skills and organisational skills
• Working knowledge of computing packages and banking systems
• Demonstratable negotiation skills
