Our client, an incredibly well-established, global leader in plant-based ingredients and pharmaceutical excipients, are looking to recruit an industry-specific, personable Key Account Manager to join their growing operation. Working autonomously (remotely and with remit to meet with clients across the UK and Ireland), this is an incredible opportunity for the right candidate!
Our client have been established for close to 100 years, boast a multi-billion £ turnover and employ over 8,000 FTE. As a business, all of their raw materials are from natural origin, ensuring they can not only enable a whole new plant-based cuisine (for the food/nutrition/health market(s)), but also pharmaceutical solutions that can play a key role in medical treatments - unlocking the potential of nature to improve, cure and save lives.
The company not only produce/sell to clients direct, but also work with Distributors across the world whom sell to smaller clients. As they are in constant growth mode, they... are now actively seeking the perfect candidate to lead on their UK operation, overseeing an existing client base in addition to developing new business across the UK and Ireland. In a nutshell, your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing a portfolio of c/30 key UK client accounts (primarily within Savoury/Sports Nutrition)- Conducting regular business reviews to ensure client satisfaction and to identify potential opportunities for account growth
- Delivering sales/margin targets for the area
- Leading the negotiation process from initial offer through to final agreement / contract
- Providing information for market intelligence (market data, competitor information, etc)- Developing strategic account plans.
- Converting new opportunities into sales
In order to be considered for this position, it is ESSENTIAL that you have the following:
- Excellent working knowledge of UK Food markets (Confectionery / Beverage / Savoury / Dairy)- Experience in both managing/growing existing B2B clients, and developing new business
- Solution-focused mindset, with high tenacity to help customers in meeting their needs
- Ability to manage a diverse range of customers, products and applications
- Fun, sociable personality
In addition to a very competitive basic salary of £60,000 - £65,000, our client are also offering the following:
- Company car (or allowance of £800 a month)- Full travel expenses paid- 15% annual bonus (paid out every April)- Complete autonomy on working life - working remotely/meeting clients to own schedule
