Impressive opportunity has just become available working for a Global law firm ranked among the top firms in the world. This firm is currently recruiting within their London design team, seeking a Lead Designer to join their Brand & Communications team. This new permanent role calls for a very senior corporate designer to be responsible for applying core design principles to complex, strategic projects to help guide and push design boundaries through 2024. In this pivotal role, you will be leading on multiple design projects simultaneously, giving creative direction and making core design decisions to shape the firm’s visual identity.
This new permanent role offers hybrid working (2 or 3 days per week working from home), an outstanding perks and benefits package, and a starting salary of around the £85,000 mark.
Key responsibilities include:
• Initiating design projects by gathering essential... information, developing effective design solutions, and clearly demonstrating how the designs meet the requirements of internal stakeholders.
• Coordinating project workflows and communications to meet deadlines.
• Guiding internal clients and teams on the application of brand guidelines, contributing to their evolution, and crafting templates and new visual elements for the brand.
• Supporting the development of high-quality image asset libraries that are consistent with brand guidelines and used across all firm communications.
• Implementing core design principles to strategic projects that align with brand standards and guidelines.
This firm is looking for someone who can demonstrate strong design skills, including typography (kerning, leading, tracking), hierarchy, color application, grids, layout, photography selection, and accessibility skills. Additionally, candidates should display knowledge and skills in designing for digital and multi-media projects as well as traditional design (e.g., print).
Core must-haves for this role include a bachelor’s degree in graphic design or equivalent, experience as a designer in a professional services or business-to-business environment, and experience with digital asset management systems, email marketing systems, digital and social marketing, and UX, preferably.
