The team is looking to add a VFX Supervisor for upcoming Immersive projects based out of our London office - someone who is extraordinarily passionate about our industry and the attractions we get to build, with a fastidious eye for detail.
The ideal candidate will have well-established industry connections in the LBE and Attractions field, with recent experience of managing clients from the pitch cycle through to final delivery and experience on shoots. Demonstrable experience of having supervised projects that bring attractions to life through delivery of high-end media in built environments like Theme Parks or other LBE is essential.
The VFX Supervisor will play a significant leadership role both internally and externally, establishing our Immersive work with clients, whilst also inspiring our artist and production teams.
Overall Focus:
Superior creative problem-solving skills both artistically and technically, pushing the quality of Framestore's work on every project
Providing creative advice and involvement in challenging projects
Demonstrable knowledge of VFX/CG shot production and its iteration process, as well as infectious passion for keeping up-to-date with state of the art VFX
Input on strategy for our Immersive work with the rest of the Senior leadership team
Central to client meetings when pitching for, running or delivering projects
Working with the production team(s) and leads to prepare bids, pitches and resource estimates
Project Responsibilities:
VFX Supervision of specific projects, working to realise solutions for achieving objectives/goals within budget
Bringing a depth of VFX knowledge to the team in order to steer them, but also being able to think outside the box to find and develop innovative solutions - this will require some time being on the box, too
Supervisor and overall lead for the VFX artists, as well as sharing project leadership responsibilities with the production team
Almost all projects will have a requirement for on-set shoot supervision
The majority of projects will involve international travel for site visits, mock-ups and installations
Working closely with the client(s) to ensure that their vision is met, constantly improving on the client's ideas
Management Responsibilities:
Involvement in assisting with recruiting the artist team, attending interviews and selecting the best team for the project(s)
Mentoring artists in the team, providing advice and feedback for them creatively as artists, as well as leadership support and guidance for more senior crew
Taking some fiscal responsibility for the projects, contributing in any way possible to help with creative and technical decisions that may positively affect this
Work with the HOD and leads to ensure that the division’s technology and pipeline is delivering quality and efficiency at scale, by researching and recommending potential advancements/improvements
