We are seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Junior Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. This role is designed for individuals eager to develop their accounting skills while supporting day-to-day financial operations. The Junior Accounts Assistant will assist in maintaining financial records, processing transactions, and providing support to the wider finance team.

Key Responsibilities
• Purchasing Board (Procurement Kanban):
• Placing orders from Purchasing Board, Monitor and track deliveries of orders placed, ensuring they are received within the expected timeframes.
• Reaching out to suppliers and negotiating pricing.
• Credit Card Reconciliations plus expense management system:
• Monthly credit card reconciliations.
• Reconciling expense management system (Get Moss UK) statements.
• Importing expense management system (Get Moss UK) transaction in NS.
• Bookkeeping:
• Posting GRNI invoices in timely and accurate manner.
• Analysing received items and rates to ensure... accuracy and completeness of invoices.
• Identifying discrepancies and irregularities in GRNI invoices and taking appropriate actions to resolve them.
• Collaborating with Supply Chain & NPD Team to address and resolve invoice related issues such as discrepancies related to the quantity and rates.
• Posting Overhead invoices.
• Expense Tracking: Help manage colleague expenses, ensuring receipts are accurate and in line with company policy.
• Accounts Payable & Receivable: Support the management of accounts payable and receivable, including recording transactions and reconciling balances.
• Data Entry: Input financial data into accounting software (NetSuite) with high levels of accuracy.
• Filing & Documentation: Ensure that all financial documentation is organised, stored securely, and easy to access.
What We're Looking For
• A-levels or equivalent (ideally with a focus on Accounting, Business, or Finance).
• Formal accounting training (such as AAT Level 2 or 3, part-qualified ACCA) is preferred.
• Experience in a finance or accounts-related role is beneficial but not essential
• Experience using accounting software (NetSuite) is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and mathematical skills.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple tasks.
• Team player with a willingness to learn.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
• Integrity and discretion when handling sensitive financial information.
What We Offer
• Employment type: This role is offered full-time, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
• Where we're located: Tropic HQ is a short walk from Beddington Lane Tram stop, which is connected to East Croydon and Wimbledon.
