If you join us you will have the opportunity to develop skills and experience in: Supporting the nursing staff on the ward with pre and post –operatively. Our patient group would be undergoing surgery with in the following specialities: Gynaecology, Orthopaedic, General Surgery, ENT, and maxillofacial surgeries. Assisting in the discharge planning for patients to facilitate safe transfer from hospital to home. Work alongside members of the multi-disciplinary team, including different teams ie theatre, recovery, and day surgery, administration teams. Band 2 elective Surgical Ward nursing assistant, to support ward nurses with the day to day care of elective surgical patient on a busy Surgical Ward. Adhering to the trust policies and procedures. Upholding professional standards and being flexible, approachable and hardworking.
