Job Description - Network Control Training and Quality Specialist - Flight Planning (15193)
As a Training and Quality Specialist, you will be responsible for creating and delivering high-quality training and development to new starters and existing officers in network control. This will require building a close relationship with the functional management team and the seniors across the functions to ensure that training needs are identified and met. Additionally, you will play an essential role in future change initiatives and act as champions of these changes to the wider teams to gain ‘buy-in’ while keeping current training packages up to date.
You will continually assess the existing skills and knowledge within Network Control in order to determine what training is needed to grow and retain these skills. You will also play a big part in the recruitment of new officers into the department, ensuring that we are selecting the right people to take on the role.
In addition, you will... also be responsible for ensuring the quality of our officer’s work is of the highest possible standard, through consistent quality assurance checks and audits.
We are looking for a detail-oriented Training, Quality Assurance, and Safety Specialist to play a key role in monitoring and enhancing the performance within Network Control. This role will involve identifying training and development needs through job analysis and regular consultation with management and senior teams. Additionally, you will ensure that statutory training requirements are met, while developing and implementing comprehensive training programs for both new starters and existing colleagues within the ICC. You will collaborate closely with Functional Management and Seniors to meet all training needs, maintain training materials, and evaluate and improve training program effectiveness.
In the audit and quality assurance aspect of the role, you will monitor the quality of work through regular checks, including call monitoring, side-by-side coaching, and procedure adherence reviews. You will audit training records and policies to ensure compliance and relevance. Furthermore, as part of the safety team, you will lead investigations within Network Control, overseeing safety incident investigations and supporting the Safety Action Group (SAG) process. You will also be responsible for assigning investigations to the correct functional teams and providing recommendations based on your findings and analysis of trends. This role is pivotal in ensuring high standards across training, quality, and safety within the organisation.
We are seeking a dynamic individual with experience in Flight Planning to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong organisational and planning skills, along with relevant training experience and excellent presentation capabilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and core systems such as EASA, AIMS, TOPS, eRes (where applicable) is required. The ability to manage training schedules effectively and multitask in a fast-paced environment is crucial, as is a collaborative approach to both face-to-face and remote learning. A commitment to continuous learning and personal development is a must, and prior knowledge of the aviation industry is a plus.

This full-time role will be based in Luton, and will be an average of 40 hours per week, working Monday – Friday office hours, with the flexibility to work on shift where necessary.
