Job Descrption
An energetic, confident and friendly HCA/Nursing Associate is required to join our happy, hardworking and successful GP practice.
Expected Hours: 20 - 37.5 hours spread across the week. Timings will be mutually agreed. This will be between the core hours of 08.00-18:30pm. Candidate may be required to do extended hours once a month until 7.30pm.
We are looking for candidates with previous NHS Primary Care & EMIS experience, good communication skills and the ability to multi-task.
Main duties of the job
The HCA/Nursing Associate will support the Nursing and Clinical team in the delivery of nursing services working as part of the practice multidisciplinary team delivering care within their scope of practice to the patient population.

Job responsibilities
The HCA / Nursing Associate will deliver and assist clinical staff in the provision of treatment, preventative care, health promotion and patient education e.g. NHS Health Checks, Long Term Conditions, Local Commissioned Services.
Person Specification
Qualifications
• GCSE or equivalent (preferred).
• Healthcare Assistant or Nursing Associate qualification.
• Qualified in Phlebotomy.
• Able to administer immunisations.
• Working in a Primary Care Setting.
• Experience with EMIS Web.
• Cervical Smear.
Disclosure and Barring Service Check
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
Salary: £25,000 to £32,000 a year, dependent upon experience.
