Clinical Pharmacist - Community Services at NHS

We are recruiting for a Clinical Rotational Oncology and Clinical Trial Pharmacist who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
This role is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a pharmacist who is looking to develop their hospital pharmacy and oncology knowledge in a wide range of cancer treatments including clinical trials at Mount Vernon Cancer Centre.
Previous experience of working in a hospital or community pharmacy and any previous experience in oncology would be desirable. Pre-registration trainees are also welcome to apply for this role.
You will be expected to work closely with nursing and medical staff and with patients. You will be supported by a team of oncology pharmacists, to deliver pharmaceutical services to patients on day case units and wards.
To act as a clinic, ward, clinical trial and day-case unit oncology pharmacist providing... pharmaceutical care to cancer patients on a rotational basis.
• To provide highly specialised advice concerning the pharmaceutical care of cancer patients as appropriate, to patients, relatives and other health professional colleagues including senior consultant medical staff.
• To support core services at MVCC pharmacy which include clinical screen, dispense and check prescriptions and requisition inpatient requests, dose banding chemotherapy, controlled drugs, clinical trial prescription and TTAs.
• To provide the pharmacy support for clinical trials with MVCC Lead Clinical Trials Pharmacist.
• To provide clinical input and knowledge in the management of clinical trial material in the Trust and to ensure that all trials are conducted in accordance with the highest possible standards, and in compliance with the principles of GCP (Good Clinical Practice); Good Dispensing Practice and Good Manufacturing Practice.

Qualifications/Training
Experience in pharmacy, hospital or community
Training staff
Experience using JAC computer system
Experience in Hospital Pharmacy services
Flexible approach to workload
Ability to undertake manual lifting duties
Good basic Pharmacy Knowledge
