Job Descrption
Are you a seasoned professional with experience in managing plant yards and logistics? Our client, Cavendish Professionals, is seeking a skilled Plant Yard Manager to oversee the efficient operation of their plant yard and ensure seamless logistics and transportation management.
Key Responsibilities:
• Overall Site Operations: Lead the team in maintaining a safe and organized plant yard, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained and stored.
• Logistics & Transportation Management: Coordinate logistics and deliveries, including scheduling and driver coordination, to ensure timely and efficient transportation of plant equipment and materials.
• Plant Maintenance & Inventory: Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for plant equipment, manage inventory control of consumables and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Fleet Management: Oversee the company vehicle fleet, ensuring regular... maintenance, efficient operation, and adherence to company policies.
• Training & Development: Design and deliver in-house training programs to enhance the skills of the plant yard team.
• Technology & Optimization: Collaborate with the IT department to enhance the plant tracking system, analyze data to identify areas for improvement, and implement process improvements to optimize productivity and resource allocation.
• Growth & Development: Work closely with the Managing Director and Head of Operations to develop and expand the Plant Department, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
• Team Support: Provide support to the Diamond Drilling Contracts Manager to ensure the team has access to necessary equipment and resources.
• Professional Development: Attend senior management meetings to stay informed and contribute strategic insights.
• Workplace Improvement: Lead initiatives to improve the comfort and functionality of the plant yard office space.
