We have recently been instructed by a leading L/S Hedge Fund who are looking to expand their healthcare coverage team with the addition of specialist to cover the Biopharma subvertical.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis, a passion for the healthcare industry, and the ability to make informed investment decisions. Candidates will be considered with Biopharma, Biotech or Therapeutics coverage across either L/S Equities, or Asset Management.

Responsibilities:
• Assist in the management and monitoring of healthcare equity positions.
• Conduct thorough research and analysis of healthcare companies, including financial modelling, valuation, and competitive analysis.
• Generate investment ideas and provide recommendations to senior portfolio managers.
• Investment strategy development, including Idea Generation, Due Diligence, Stock Selection
• Monitor market trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes affecting the healthcare sector.
•... Participate in meetings with company management, industry conferences, and other events to gather insights and inform investment decisions.
• Collaborate with the research team to develop sector-specific investment strategies.

Qualifications:
• ~5+ years’ experience as a Fundamental Equity Analyst, with a focus on Biopharma equities.
• Candidates will be considered from Long Only Asset Managers, L/S Hedge Funds, or Equity Research teams at Bulge Bracket Banks.
• Experience in Long / Short equities, whilst not required, would be highly advantageous.
• An advanced degree relating to science or medicine, would be highly advantageous.
• A demonstrable interest in public markets investments, and a passion for healthcare equities.
