Job Descrption

To be responsible for the supervision of cleaning methods and frequencies in a designated area of the hospital, ensuring that the required standards are achieved. To supervise the domestic assistants, linen room assistants and linen room porters to ensure that their duties are carried out safely and using correct procedures and materials at frequencies laid down in the specification of work. Also the training of domestics to use machinery and the correct methods of cleaning. To ensure timely completion of PLB/appraisals for domestic staff.

To ensure all mandatory training is completed on time. To adhere to the civility charter and display good practice. Please note it is a requirement of The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust that all successful candidates who require a DBS for the post they have been offered pay for their DBS certificate.The method of payment is a salary deduction from your first months pay.
