About the role
This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-growing scale-up at a crucial phase of growth and help change an industry for the better. The Head of Marketing is an exciting new role, designed to market the very best of Motorway’s dealer platform. This role sits within the multi-disciplined marketing team and will be responsible for the dealer marketing plan. You will manage and collaborate with a direct and virtual team across the business to ensure growth across Motorway’s 8k dealer database, which covers the whole market; from small independents to global corporates
The ideal candidate will be an experienced B2B marketeer within the auto or marketplace categories. They need to be proficient at elevating and driving growth of our brilliant value proposition; which includes the core platform, Motorway Pay and Motorway Move to make Motorway ‘first choice’ for dealers.
This role will report to the Director of Brand. Internally, this role is titled Head of Dealer Marketing.
Responsibilities include:
- Be the undisputed champion for all dealer content and marketing by owning the end-to-end dealer marketing plan from strategy through to execution and reporting, ensuring Motorway is the “first choice for dealers’
- Oversee and lead the entire go-to-market strategy collaborating closely with product, marketing, and dealer teams
- Work collaboratively with dealer and product teams, to develop and execute marketing strategies to effectively land new and existing dealer propositions,
- Use customer research and competitor intelligence, develop product positioning and messaging
- Develop detailed personas and gain a deep understanding of the market to inform product, sales, and adjacent marketing activities
- Own, develop, and maintain the marketing segmentation and messaging of the dealer marketing plan.
- Develop and execute a dealer marketing KPI framework to drive insight and ensure ROI from marketing activity
- Own the dealer marketing budget, with the responsibility of ensuring optimal ROI and prioritisation of activity
- Collaborate with the Dealer team to develop and execute an optimal calendar of events to drive dealer engagement
- Build and keep up-to-date a competitor comparison matrix. Using this intelligence to inform new product development, pricing strategies and marketing tactics
- Create competitive claims based on research.

Requirements
- Demonstrable recent experience in B2B marketing, or Omnichannel
- Blend of creative and strategic thinking
- Strong team leadership and management experience
- Excellent stakeholder relationship management skills - this role is required to be in Brighton 1 day a week and London 1 day a week
- Experience leading cross-functional teams to develop and execute plans
- Strong data driven approach
- Ability to define new processes and lead projects
- Proven track record of Go-to-market strategy and delivery
- Full understanding of marketing mix and how different channels work
- Ability to work independently and happy driving projects from inception to delivery
