Transport Administrator – Full Time – Permanent
Due to further company expansion we are recruiting for an exciting new role for a Transport Administrator to aid with the smooth running of day to day operations as part of our dynamic team here in Croydon.

What will I be doing?
You will be a vital part of our... organisation and play a key role in delivering the best in customer service.
• Office cover during holidays/sickness and peak busy periods.
• Professionally interacting with customers with a positive and proactive attitude.
• Taking telephone bookings accurately and dealing with queries from clients and couriers
• Answer and deal with incoming calls to the transport office.

• Maintain a positive company image when dealing with customers by phone or in person.
• Maintaining our service level agreements with key clients
• Monitor jobs to POD and completion keeping everyone informed in a professional and helpful manner and inputting details on our systems
• Respond to emails requesting services or a quotation swiftly and in a polite and timely manner.
• Be proactive and keep all staff or customers informed of any issues/delays
• Provide a detailed and clear handover to Out of Hours staff highlighting any operational concerns
• Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.

• Previous experience within the transport industry is preferable and applicants will require a basic level of computer skills.
• Strong communication skills in order to give accurate information to drivers.
• Be professional, approachable and helpful to ensure smooth running of the general operation.
• Excellent, open and transparent communication both verbal and written.
• A strong, confident, polite telephone manner when dealing with our clients and customers.
• Be highly organised and an effective, logical thinker with the ability to multi task.
• Building new relationships and developing existing ones.
• Confident with all Microsoft Office Packages.
• Display an excellent level of initiative and problem solving skills.
• The ability to work well under pressure is essential.
• A flexible approach to shift patterns, where additional or different hours may be required during peak periods.
• Being flexible to the needs of the business.
