Physical Education (P.E.) Teacher- Nursery School in Mumbai

Where? Mumbai, India, Asia.

Schedule: Monday--> Friday

Subject: Physical Education.

Goals: To create a fun, safe environment that supports the physical and social development of young children.

Role Summary:

Our client, who is launching a brand-new preschool in Mumbai, is looking for a dynamic and experienced Physical Education (P.E.) teacher to become part of their growing team. This exciting initiative is associated with a prestigious international school in Mumbai. They are searching for a committed and enthusiastic P.E. teacher to work with children aged 18 months to 8 years. The ideal candidate should have a background in early childhood education and a strong passion for promoting physical activity.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Physical Education Instruction:

· Develop and implement age-appropriate physical education programs that enhance motor skills, coordination, balance, and overall fitness.

· Create... lesson plans featuring diverse physical activities, such as games, exercises, and sports, tailored to various age groups and ability levels.

· Teach fundamental movement skills like running, jumping, throwing, and catching, along with introductory concepts of team sports.

Class Management:

· Oversee groups of young children during P.E. classes, ensuring a structured but enjoyable learning environment.

· Adapt teaching approaches to cater to individual student needs, offering encouragement and support to build positive self-esteem.

· Maintain classroom discipline while addressing behavioural issues with a positive and supportive approach.

Safety & Supervision:

· Ensure student safety during physical activities by providing close supervision and enforcing safety guidelines.

· Regularly inspect physical education equipment and play areas to ensure they are safe and in good condition.

· Respond promptly to accidents or injuries, providing first aid when necessary.

Developmental Support:

· Promote children's physical development by integrating activities that improve gross motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and spatial awareness.

· Foster social growth through cooperative games that encourage teamwork, communication, and respect for peers.

· Monitor and assess each child's physical abilities and progress, offering feedback to parents and collaborating with colleagues as needed.

Communication:

· Keep parents and guardians informed about their child’s physical development and address any concerns they may have.

· Work with classroom teachers to incorporate physical activity into the overall educational curriculum.

· Participate in parent-teacher conferences and school events as required.

Professional Development:

· Stay up to date on the latest trends and best practices in physical education, early childhood development, and safety protocols.

· Attend relevant training and professional development sessions as required by the school.

Dates/Times:

2024/25 Academic Year- rolling academic year contract.
