About the Role:
We are currently with a client who is opening a new nursery center in Kingston upon Thames is seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Manager. This brand-new facility, licensed to care for upwards of 70 children, aims to provide a nurturing, stimulating, and safe environment where young children can explore, learn, and grow. We are recruiting on their behalf to find a passionate and skilled professional to lead the nursery team and ensure the highest standards of care and education.
Job Description:
As the Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management of the nursery, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and fostering a positive environment for both children and staff. Your leadership will be crucial in establishing the nursery as a trusted and beloved part of the local community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for... children.
• Work with the operations manager and director to grow and maintain the nursery at a high standard.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including Ofsted requirements.
• Develop and implement educational programs that promote the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development of children.
• Manage and mentor nursery staff, including recruitment, training, and professional development.
• Build strong relationships with parents, staff, and the local community.
• Handle administrative duties, including budgeting, resource management, and record-keeping.
• Ensure the nursery is fully equipped and maintained to a high standard.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent (Degree in Early Childhood Education preferred).
• At least 3 years of experience in a managerial role within a nursery or early years setting.
• Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Passion for early childhood education and a commitment to maintaining high standards of care.
• Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.
• First Aid certification and enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain).

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From £45,000.00 + bonus
