Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Head Chef to join our team at a bustling restaurant in the heart of the city. The ideal candidate will lead the kitchen team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality dishes while maintaining a smooth kitchen operation.
Responsibilities
- Oversee food production processes to deliver exceptional culinary experiences
- Manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and training as needed
- Create and update menus in line with seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for ingredients and kitchen supplies
- Collaborate with restaurant management to develop new dishes and improve existing recipes
Skills
- Extensive experience in a professional kitchen environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
- Proficient in various cooking techniques and food preparation methods
- Excellent organisational... skills to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced restaurant setting
- Previous experience in menu planning and cost control is advantageous
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role in a kitchen environment
- Strong background in Indian cuisine and menu planning
- Demonstrated ability in cost control and maintaining food quality standards
- Proven track record in supervising kitchen staff and ensuring efficient food production
- Certification in food safety and knowledge of food handling regulations
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
