The Role
Reporting to the hotel-based Director of Sales, this role is to drive incremental revenue into hotel in line with budget and future strategy. The Sales Managers role will focus on Private Dinning, M&E Sales and Groups for both new business and with a secondary focus on the growth and relationship building of existing accounts to drive revenue expectations.
• Have a clear understanding of the hotel business mix, budget strategy and support accordingly
• Create a deep understanding of each client to unearth other... revenue opportunities, i.e. Christmas parties, private dinners, London events etc.
• Deliver the strategic business plan across each assigned segment of the business to achieve target revenue for you individually and your team
• Consistently deliver on agreed weekly activity targets for leads, calls and appointments and demonstrate results from the activity
• Grow revenue and deliver targeted revenue growth through relationship building and understanding of our existing clients
• Understand competitors business through site visits and Hotelligence reporting
• To identify innovative ways to drive new sales leads with a structured follow up plan
• Understand areas of focus for underperforming hotels and find ways to address the shortfall
• To work closely with hotels within the cluster to align rate plans and pricing
• Utilise salesforce.com to enrich client specific data to build a deep understanding of the accounts, the opportunities that exist and to share key information with the hotels
• To completely understand the brand(s) you are working within and feel confident presenting to internal and external customers
• Work in conjunction with the central Key Account Directors to develop opportunities and drive revenue for new business and existing accounts
• Support the Director of Sales in developing inbound international business from key markets and global strategic accounts
• Attend trade shows and TMC office visits as required, with a set of clear objectives and targets
• Be passionate about learning and developing your own skills and understanding of the industry
• Consistently look for opportunities outside your own cluster to benefit all hotels in the group
What we look for
• A minimum of 2 years sales experience in the hospitality, ideally in London
• Excellent at building new and existing client relationships to understand account drivers for incremental revenue
• Will challenge the status quo to look at news ways of working
• Results-oriented and driven to achieve revenue and performance targets
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools and Excel
• Highly commercial and lives and breathes the key business measures
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to build successful partnerships with clients, partners, and work collaboratively across the hotel(s) and central teams
• Adaptable to different markets & segments
