Role Overview

The Product Owner will support Planet’s online payment gateway via the development and execution of our payments strategy across various channels, particularly in the Hospitality & Retail verticals.

Key responsibilities include coordinating and executing technical initiatives which include new product development (such as supporting new payment methods, adding new API endpoints, or other tools). The role includes development across our New Product Strategy, building enhancements for the Schemes (e.g. Visa & Mastercard) and implementing new Alternate Payment Methods (APMs).

The role will require the comfort and ability to work with technical concepts and regularly coordinate with our Engineering team and other Product members.

What You'll Do
• Technical Product Development – review, understand and implement new technical features (e.g. new APIs, or other tools)
• Product Delivery: Collaborate with engineering and commercial teams to launch and market vertical specific... solutions on time and within budget
• Product Maintenance: Collaborate with third party providers to plan and implement any maintenance requirements for our online payment gateway
• Growth Support: Contribute to developing solutions for expansion into new countries, segments, schemes, and alternative payment methods (APMs)
• Team Collaboration: Work within a cross-functional matrix team (e.g. marketing, growth, operations, etc.)
