Position: Certified Rigging Engineer - Os&Us (NMD) (Field )

Bechtel is seeking to work with a major Indian corporation to provide Project Management Consultant (PMC) Services and Engineering Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) Services for offsites and utilities (OSBL) for a multi-billion-dollar upgrade / expansion of existing petrochemical facilities in India. The PMC Services will be led out of India with personnel deployed in the Mumbai region, the project sites in India, as well as several key contractor locations across India.

The EPCM Services for OSBL will be led out of Bechtel’s India offices. Both scopes, PMC and EPCM, are substantial with multi-million job-hours estimated across them.

This position will start as an assignment in Mumbai
, India (office) prior to the receipt of the full notice to proceed from the Owner and... will eventually transition to the job site for the EPC execution of the project.

Responsibilities:
• Provides Construction recommendations on multiple disciplines/functional integration
• Facilitating the development and execution of approved Constructability ideas and plans.
• Organizes input to the Constructability Program process and schedule, identifying construction related requirements to other functions in time to support their estimating efforts during project development/Front-End Engineering and Design (FEED) phase.
• Develops and disseminates Constructability Review Matrix.
• Conducts Constructability awareness training
• Develops and delivers the Constructability awareness training and/or enterprise or project supervisory and technical training
• Maintains/develops enterprise-wide processes and procedures
• Coordinates with projects to implement Quality Management System
• Sponsors and develops enterprise applications
• Advises and contributes to proposal efforts
Education and Experience Requirements:

Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent)
Required Knowledge and Skills:
• Extensive working knowledge of rigging planning and execution standards and requirements
• Extensive technical knowledge and experience in construction engineering in the use of lifting equipment, alternative heavy lifting systems, mobile gantries, jacking, tailing, rigging equipment, and load distribution systems, including an understanding of transport/transfer of equipment, soil mechanics, and structural steel design
• Thorough knowledge of construction activities as they relate to engineering disciplines, cost and scheduling, and contract administration.
• Knowledge of Indian standards and specification and codes as applicable, including various safety procedures and practices associated with the construction/rigging activities.
• Familiar with Bechtel's Business Ethics handbook and policies.
• Knowledge and understanding of the application and requirements of the Project Environmental, Safety & Health (ES&H) Handbook and the Bechtel Core Processes as they relate to area of responsibility.
• Prior experience supervising and administering subcontractors.
