VCAD is seeking a Student Wellbeing Manager to join our London Team.
Job Responsibilities:
• Represent VCAD Wellbeing to all VCAD partners.
• Manage a cross-campus team within Student Services responsible for wellbeing and welfare services that enhance the student experience.
• Provide wellbeing support to all VCAD students, dealing with student wellbeing issues and... signposting to external bodies as appropriate.
• Ensure students have an excellent experience at VCAD by prioritizing wellbeing and safeguarding.
• Support the student support manager and liaise with academic managers to ensure efficient wellbeing support.
• Arrange and deliver cross-campus wellbeing workshops, webinars, and awareness-raising events.
• Ensure clear policies and procedures are in place for risk assessment and support, and escalate serious cases as needed.
• Collaborate and communicate with other teams to maintain productive relationships across the University.
• Liaise with external bodies to improve support for students in need.
• Plan and organize own workload and contribute to longer-term plans/programmes.
Minimum Qualifications:
• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Psychology or related subjects.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in the FE/HE sector.
• Experience working in a fast-paced office environment.
• Sensitivity and empathy with students, colleagues, and staff.
• Experience in producing and managing timetables in an educational context.
• Evidence of working with a diverse student population.
• Ability to work collaboratively and handle confidential matters with discretion.
• Experience in risk assessments and crisis management.
• Ability to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
