The Midweight Video Editor is needed to serve a rapidly growing client base in SHARE, and is an enthusiastically dedicated and passionate professional, demonstrating emerging leadership in providing exceptionally high-quality, reliable, forward-thinking, and inventive video editing and production. The video editor excels across all clients, delivering top-notch work and innovative solutions with... positivity and efficiency.
Whether their background is in video editing, cinematography, motion graphics, or narrative storytelling, their focus is on creating polished and leading-edge video content. They are trusted to handle live projects and work autonomously (and alongside other teams) to produce compelling and, ideally, award-winning content in response to various challenges. They exhibit a keen interest in all facets of video production and possess a willingness to take on varied roles during shoots, from live editing on-set to camera operating, sound tech, and lighting, whenever the opportunity arises.
Responsibilities:
• Consistently delivers innovative, best-in-class video editing & creative output.
• Conceptualises a brief from initial idea through to final edit and implementation, and ability to work on all aspects of post-production, editing, sound design, colour grading, vfx.
• Collaborates with the creative and content team to interpret briefs and ensure high-quality delivery, and confidently presents edited work and creative solutions to the broader team.
• Takes full ownership and independently manages creative briefs & workflow, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Understands client objectives and challenges, and adheres to brand guidelines in video content.
• Provides mentorship to junior creative team members.
• Actively participates in new business pitches.
• Engages in creative ideation and conceptual thinking, individually or as part of a team.
• Stays abreast of the latest trends in social platforms, video technology, and industry developments, leading the studio in innovation.
• Demonstrates high attention to detail and expertise in file management and organisation.
Requirements
• 3-5 years of relevant agency experience or in a similar role.
• A portfolio showcasing exceptional video projects and creative ideas.
• Profound knowledge of video editing software and tools (Davinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop).
• Ability to operate cameras, or willingness to learn on-set skills.
• Recognition within the industry or awards (beneficial but not essential).
